As part of our ongoing efforts to provide a safe and steadfast work environment company wide, 3rd-party safety management systems audits are conducted. Accompanied with our shipboard safety standards, highly trained, and certified vessel crews Polaris New Energy is a leader in providing safe, reliable LNG solutions to our customers.
All of our vessels are equipped with multiple levels of safety features:
- State-of-the-art cryogenic systems to allowing safe transfer of LNG to multiple ship types
- Remote, local and automated shutoff switches
- Audio and visual alarms on both the tug and barge
- Fully integrated fire safety plan and procedures with the Cargo Alarm and Monitoring System
- Gas Combustion Units that destroy any excess vapor
- Safe LNG Transfers
JAX LNG, a 50/50 joint venture between Seaside LNG and Pivotal LNG, is the first small-scale shoreside LNG facility in the U.S, with the ability to load LNG fuel for both marine vessels and trucks. The JAX LNG plant includes two liquefaction trains with a combined capacity of 360,000 gallons per day along with two LNG storage tanks that provide 4 million gallons of onsite storage. There are also dual truck loading bays capable of serving a high volume of LNG to the trucking industry and a state-of-the-art loading pier that transfers LNG from the storage tanks to LNG barges.
